Understanding our oceans through computation

I am a research scientist who uses computational approaches to study the ocean.

My work explores how sound travels through a dynamic ocean by combining models of underwater acoustics and ocean circulation. My research focuses on ocean-acoustic data assimilation, physical modeling for Earth science, and computational methods for estimating ocean conditions that are difficult to observe directly.
